HERE’S THE LIST OF ‘MUST-SEE AND MUST-DO’
A must-do list for Tucson is going to be very long. Either schedule a long trip or plan to come back often, otherwise you will miss something special.
First, decide on your priorities. Are you looking for a western history adventure, searching for active physical challenges, drinking in the local culture or taking luxury and relaxation to the ultimate level?
For the active adult or family with active older children, opportunities to explore and experience the west are at every turn. Go rock climbing, take an ATV TOUR, balloon across the valley or visit Kartchner Caverns.
If you have very little ones, take the time to go through the lush Reid Park Zoo. Located near the center of town and across from shopping and dining, you will enjoy the cool, shady park as you amble by our furry residents. There are plenty of benches to rest on while the kids are entertained by the various docents throughout the park. Or take in the Children’s Museum, Biosphere 2 and the International Wildlife Museum for fun and educational outings.
Head down to TOMBSTONE or out to Old Tucson Studios for re-enactments of gunfights.
For the big kids looking for an educational moment we offer the Flandrau Planetarium, located on the University of Arizona campus, the Arizona Historical Museum, the Museum of Art , the Botanical Gardens..... where to go, where to go? So many choices!
