Lake Shasta is part of the Wiskeytown - Shasta - Trinity National Recreation Area managed by the National Forest Service. Lake Shasta is considered the largest lake in California. It is formed by the Sacramento, McCloud, Pit and Squaw Rivers were are contained by Shasta Dam. There are hundreds of coves and byways as the river winds it way through the mountains.
Access to Lake Shasta is via nearby Redding, California.
