Lake Mead National Recreation Area Fee Schedule

Lake Mead National Recreation Area has entrance and lake use fees. Daily and annual passes can be purchased at the entrance stations. You may also purchase an annual pass by mail by printing out a mail-in form:

Entrance fees are for entrance into Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Current locations are:

  • Boulder Beach
  • East Lake Mead Blvd.
  • Lake Mead Parkway
  • Cottonwood Cove
  • Temple Bar
  • Katherine Landing
  • North Shore Road

Additional locations will be added in future projects.

Holders of entrance passes will be authorized to enter the park through the far right-hand lane of the entrance station. In order for the vehicle pass (sticker) to be valid it must be attached directly to the vehicle on the lower left (driver's side) area of the windshield. The pass will not be honored if placed in another location on the vehicle or if the pass is not directly affixed to the vehicle.

1) America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass-Annual Pass-$80. This pass is available to the general public and provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a year, beginning from the date of sale. The pass admits the pass holder(s) and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can be obtained in person at the park, by calling 1-888-ASK USGS, Ext. 1, or via the Internet at http://store.usgs.gov/pass.

2) America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass-Senior Pass-$10. This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non -commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can only be obtained in person at the park. The Access Pass provides a 50 percent discount on some Expanded Amenity Fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launch, and specialized interpretive services. In some cases where Expanded Amenity Fees are charged, only the pass holder will be given the 50 percent price reduction. The pass is non-transferable and generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessionaires.

3) America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass-Access Pass-Free. This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. Documentation is required to obtain the pass. Acceptable documentation includes: statement by a licensed physician; document issued by Federal agency such as the Veteran's Administration, Social Security Disability Income or Supplemental Security Income; or document issued by a State agency such as a vocational rehabilitation agency.The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non -commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can only be obtained in person at the park. The Access Pass provides a 50 percent discount on some Expanded Amenity Fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launching, and specialized interpretive services. 4) America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass-Volunteer Pass-Free. This pass is for volunteers acquiring 500 service hours on a cumulative basis. It provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a year, beginning from the date of award. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). Contact park VIP coordinator to learn about volunteer opportunities in the Park.

 

Lake Use Fee for Vessels (motorized)

All motorized vessels entering the park will be assessed a lake use fee charge. This includes vessels that are in dry storage and/or maintained in slips at the marinas.

In order for the pass to valid it be must be affixed directly to the vessel on the port (left) bow next to, but not overlapping the state registration. The sticker will not be honored if placed elsewhere or if it is not directly affixed to the vessel.

Holders of America the Beautiful Senior Pass and America the Beautiful Access Pass are authorized a 50% discount of the full value price for Lake Use Fees. Additional vessel passes are already discounted 50%, therefore all additional daily vessel passes are $8 each and all additional annual vessel passes are $15 each.

Lake Mead Entrance Fees for Vehicles

Annual Pass

All visitors in vehicles are required to pay an entrance fee for the vehicle which includes it's passengers.The Annual Entrance Sticker is valid from Jan 1-Dec. 31. Vehicles with an annual pass sticker and its passengers are allowed entry into the park for the current calendar year. The pass may be purchased for a single, non-commercial vehicle and must be adhered to the lower left driver's side windshield to be valid. Passes that are not directly affixed to the windshield will not be honored.

Daily Pass

A Lake Mead daily pass is valid for a period of seven consecutive days including the day purchased. A daily pass also allows a single, non-commercial vehicle entrance into the park as often as needed while the pass is valid.

Annual and daily passes are non-transferrable and are only valid for the vehicle for which it was purchased.
