Digger Bay is more remote and quite. This is an ideal location if you’re looking to get away from it all. It is located near Shasta Dam. There is no lodge, but you will find houseboat and powerboat rentals, a small convenience store and tackle shop, boat repair, gas dock, launch ramp and courtesy dock. For 2007, and until further notice, there are no houseboat rentals at Digger Bay.

From Los Angeles:

• I-5 North to "Shasta Lake City-Shasta Dam Blvd." exit.
• Travel two miles west on Shasta Dam Blvd.
• Go under railroad tracks.
• Approximately 3/4 of a mile you will see a sign: "Digger Bay Marina next right."
• Take next right. There will be a trailer park on the left-hand side of the road.
• Follow road for three miles. This is a very winding road.
• Digger is at the top of a hill. If towing a trailer, turn around and back in towards the main dock. There is no room to turn around at the main dock.
• Office and check-in is located 100 yards down the dock.

From Eugene, Portland or Seattle:

• I-5 South to "Shasta Lake City-Shasta Dam Blvd." exit.

From Reno, Salt Lake City or Las Vegas:

• 80 Freeway West to I-5 Freeway North.
• I-5 South to "Shasta Lake City-Shasta Dam Blvd." exit.

• 10 Freeway West to I-5 Freeway North.
• I-5 South to "Shasta Lake City-Shasta Dam Blvd." exit.
