HOW DO WE CHECK AVAILABILITY?
We will send you a rate quote (within a few dollars) if you submit a reservation form, and leave the credit card information
blank. We will process it and send you a quote, usually within 24 hours. We don't use your personal information, we don't send out junk mail, we don't sell your
mailing address or telephone number, and you won't receive junk email from us.
WILL YOU SEND US TICKETS?
You only need your confirmation number when checking in at the depot. Please arrive at least one hour prior to departure
to check in.
WHAT ABOUT LAST MINUTE RESERVATIONS?
If you are flexible, you can usually find a tour. Fridays often have the greatest availability.
HOW DO WE GET TO CLARKDALE?
From Sedona -- Allow 40 minutes for the drive. Go southwest toward Cottonwood on Hwy 89A to Cornville Road/Mingus
Avenue. Turn right on Mingus Avenue and proceed west 1.8 miles to North Main Street. Turn right and travel through Old Town Cottonwood on Historic 89A, continuing past the Tuzigoot
turnoff until you see a sign on the corner that says "Verde Canyon Railroad." Bear right onto Broadway, cross the one-lane bridge and park in the designated parking across the
street from the depot.
From Phoenix -- Allow at least two hours for the drive. Take I-17 north to exit 287 (Cottonwood, Camp Verde,
Clarkdale). Turn left (west) over the freeway. Go on Highway 260 (approximately 12 miles.) Turn left at the light where Highway 260 meets Highway 89A to Clarkdale/Jerome and travel
through Old Town Cottonwood on Historic 89A, continuing past the Tuzigoot turnoff until you see a sign on the corner that says "Verde Canyon Railroad." Bear right onto Broadway,
cross the one-lane bridge and park in the designated parking across the street from the depot.
DO YOU HAVE DISCOUNTS FOR SENIORS?
Discounts for senior citizens over the age of 65 are offered in Coach Class only. Proof of age may be requested at the
CAN WE RESERVE AN ENTIRE CAR?
The caboose may be reserved for 1 to 6 people (no children under 13). This is an excellent option for an anniversary.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE WHEELCHAIRS OR SCOOTERS?
Scooters cannot be accommodated, but wheelchairs can be as long as the wheel base is no greater than 24.5 inches and is the
unit is not motorized. There are lifts, but they are hand-powered. There are a few wheelchairs at the depot available for use.
MAY WE BRING A COOLER, STROLLER OR OTHER CARRYON ITEMS?
You may bring soft-sided bags or soft insulated coolers, but no strollers, hard-sided luggage, etc. You may not bring
any glass items or alcohol.
WHAT ABOUT PETS?
Pets may not be brought on the train, but there are kennels in Cottonwood that will keep your pet while you ride the train.
HOW MUCH ARE INFANTS AND TODDLERS?
Infants and toddlers riding on an adult’s lap are free of charge. Please notify us that you have a small child in your group in the comment section of your reservation form. Also, please note that you may not bring carriers or strollers. Children under 13 are not allowed in the caboose. You are responsible for the safety of your children and children must be supervised at all times by an adult in your party.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
You may cancel direct to the tour company (information is provided in your confirmation) 48 hours or more prior to departure
for a full refund. Cancellation within 48 hours may be rebooked at the time of cancellation for an alternate date within one year of travel.
WHEN IS MY CARD CHARGED?
When you make the reservation, the credit card provided will be charged the full amount of your tour.
DO YOU HAVE LARGE VEHICLE PARKING?
Yes, there is plenty of parking at the depot. There is camping at Deadhorse Ranch State Park next door, with electricity
and water at the sites. Entrance fee is about $6, campsites with electricity are $25 per night. Rates subject to change.
