How much does it cost to enter Lake Mohave?

Lake Mead National Recreation Area has entrance and lake use fees. Daily and annual passes can be purchased at the entrance stations OR HERE.  Our last visit to Lake Mohave did not require a pass, however, we are told this will be implemented in 2006.

Entrance fees are for entrance into Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Current locations are East Lake Mead Drive, East Lake Mead Blvd., Boulder Beach and Katherine Landing. Additional locations will be added in future projects. Holders of annual passes will be authorized to enter the park through the far right hand lane of the entrance station.

National Parks Passes cover admission to all National Parks and National Recreation Areas with entrance fees. For an extra $15 the purchaser can get a yellow hologram sticker that provides the Golden Eagle upgrade. The National Parks Pass with the $15 Golden Eagle upgrade provides admission to all of those places that currently accept the Golden Eagle Passport. They are valid at Federal entrance fee areas for 12 months beginning with issue month, are non-transferable and valid for entry only. The owner of the pass must be present for the pass to be used.

Golden Eagle Passports are valid at Federal entrance fee areas for 12 months beginning with issue month, are non-transferable and valid for entry into the park only.

Golden Access and Golden Age Passports are lifetime passes and are non-transferable. Golden Access and Golden Age Passports are valid at Federal entrance fee areas and holders receive a 50% discount on user fees, such as campground and lake use fees. Additionally, all Golden Passports admit permittee and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle, or alternatively, permittee, spouse, children and parents where entry is by means other than private, noncommercial vehicle. Golden Passports do not cover tours.

Agencies administering Federal recreation areas where the Golden Passports are honored for entrance: Bureau of Land Management, Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Reclamation, Army Corps of Engineers, Tennessee Valley Authority, National Park Service and Forest Service.
