Come celebrate America's 226th birthday and honor our brave country at Page Lake Powell – Northern Arizona.
There will be a parade at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday the 4th, led by the color guard and fire department with sirens wailing. Flags will be flying; red, white and blue, certainly the
most popular color. Even dogs and horses will be decorated. Officer James Bartels, Page Police Department, recent Medal of Valor recipient, is the Grand Marshall.
Enjoy An Old Fashioned Fourth celebration in City Park with Mayor Dean Slavens opening the event, patriotic music, the dreaded pet show, arts and crafters, art displays, Navajo tacos, Bar
B Q, cold drinks, ice cream, and games for the kids. A place near the flagpole is being designated as a drop spot for items to be delivered to the Rodeo Fire evacuees. All this and more
from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Fireworks begin at 8:45 P.M. at the new Lake Powell National 18 hole golf course from Hole 13!
This lucky number is across Highway 89 from National Park Service Headquarters. There is parking on Scenic View Drive, National Park Service, Marriott and Club
House drive. Boats on the water will have super views. Have dinner on the patio of Rimview Drive's restaurants or stroll along the Page Rim Trail next to the golf course – upper
level. Glen Canyon Country club will have hot dogs, hamburgers on the green across the street – so picnic and watch the fireworks!
