The 59' Discover is one of our favorite boats. 

The 59' Discovery sleeps 12 in five beds, with a maximum capacity of 12 passengers.  There are two staterooms featuring one queen bed and one double bed, a cuddy cabin featuring two double beds and a two pull out double beds. It is available from Wahweap and Bullfrog Marinas. It i features a fly bridge for operating the boat from the upper deck, wet bar and slide.

No pets are allowed on the Discovery.

Linens and bedding are provided with this houseboat.  There are two bathrooms (one full, one just toilet and sink). You will have air conditioning (not an evaporative cooler), CD stereo and marine band radio.

The Discovery features a full-size side-by-side all electric refrigerator.  This means if you plan on using this to store food, you will need to run the generator at all times.

All Lake Powell houseboats are fully stocked with all eating utensils provided for the maximum capacity allowed on the boats, e.g. if you have an Discovery, the capacity is twelve, therefore, you would be provided with all necessary eating utensils required for twelve people.

Cooking utensils include bowls, pots, pans, cheese grater, cutting board, cutlery, pitcher, coffee pot (stove top), hot pads, ice pick, and wine opener.

Also included on each houseboat is a broom, dustpan, mop, bucket, flyswatter, garbage cans, garbage bags, toilet paper, toilet bowl brush and bucket, shampoo, soap, dishwashing liquid, dish drainer and mat, dish rags and pot scrubbers.

Outdoor equipment and supplies include two anchors and lines, deck chairs, captain's chair, ash trays, 150 quart ice chest, personal floatation devices (life vests), and gas grill.

All houseboats have a stove and range, a refrigerator, a shower, a toilet, window coverings, heater, dining room table, interior and exterior lights, as well as stairs to the roof of the houseboat which is fully accessible by you.

Fresh drinking water is provided on each boat and may be refilled at any marina. You may also have your holding tanks pumped out. Although the need for a pump out varies based on the number of passengers and water usage, a good rule of thumb is to return to a pump out station every three or four days.

The Discovery has twin 115 hp fuel efficient four-stroke Mercury outboards. These get .5 mpg or 14 gallons per hour. However, this is dependent on weather conditions, cargo weight and the rpm at which you run the engines.

These boats has 290 gallon fuel capacity and goes about 15 to 16 miles per hour. This means that you have approximately 12 hours of running time.

Standard amenities: Electric range with oven, electric refrigerator, toaster, microwave, electric can opener, coffee maker, blender, gas grill, all weather cabin, 1 shower, 2 toilets, cabin heaters, 12-volt light system. Swim slide and platform, top deck canopy and flying bridge, air conditioning, boarding ramp, upgraded cabin with carpet, generator with 110/120 AC, marine radio, stereo, VCR and television, trash compactor and bed linens as well as towels. Upgraded features, more square feet of cabin and storage space, larger top deck.

$700 confirmation damage deposit. This boat is available at Wahweap and Bullfrog Marinas.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Once you have paid your deposit, changes to your reservation most likely result in a loss of all or a portion of your deposit (and/or rental fee), at the discretion of Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas.

If you change or cancel your reservation: You lose: 60 days or more prior to arrival $100.00 45-59 days prior to arrival $500.00 less than 45 days to arrival Full rental fee

Deposit is due at the time of booking. The rental fee is due 60 days prior to arrival. If booking within 60 days of arrival, the deposit and rental fee is due at the time of booking. houseboat reservation changes are subject to change fees (fees vary). Optional waiver of liability insurance is available upon check-in for an additional fee (fees vary).
