WESTWATER CANYON OF THE COLORADO RIVER
National Geographic calls this trip "the West's Best Short Whitewater Trip" On the Colorado/Utah border, the Colorado River
makes its way through Westwater Canyon, sometimes referred to as the "Little Grand Canyon".
This 50-mile oar-powered trip is the best value offered by Western
River Expeditions. You enjoy Horse Thief Canyon with its old miner's cabins and caves. There's plenty of whitewater and challenging rapids as well.
In July and August, as the water slows down, guided paddleboats are added. Depending on water levels, you may be able to paddle
your own craft under the watchful eye of your guides.
