Canyon Country Out-Back Tours originate in KANAB, UTAH, about 70 miles from Page. These are excellent extended tours for anyone wanted to explore the Escalante Grand Staircase, Grand Canyon North Rim, Toroweap
Overlook, slot canyons and petroglyphs. This is an excellent place to stop on your way to Bryce or Zion Parks.
All tours are conducted in an air-conditioned, four-wheel drive Suburban and full-sized Blazer. Larger groups (up to 11 people) can be
accommodated. You may bring your dog and all kids under 10 years old travel free.
For individual with their own 4x4 vehicle, customs tours where you follow along in your vehicle may be arranged. Guides are extremely knowledgeable and certified in first-aid and CPR.
Photographers may arrange private tours. Canyon Country Outback Tours will pick you and and return you to any motel or RV park in Kanab or Fredonia.
You may also arrange to meet the tour in Kanab.
Tours are $22.50 @hour, minimum of two (2) guests per trip, which includes tax, refreshments and lunch(on all-day trips). Discounts for groups of three or

ESCALANTE GRAND STAIRCASE NATIONAL MONUMENT
Visit the newly formed Grand Staircase -Escalante National Monument to view some of the scenery that made Kanab a favorite
with western film makers. You'll view the wonders fo Southern Utah and its colorful hills, deep gorges, slot canyons and movie locations for such films as Sergeants Three and the Outlaw Josey Wales.
This is an all-day tour with a lunch
top and some hiking at Kodachorme Basin and Grosvenor's Arch. Tour is 8 hours.
A six-hour tour from the west to east across the monument will allow you to view varied geological and archaeological features of the area. Canyon Country
Out-Back Tours is a permitholder with the Bureau of Land Management.
GRAND CANYON NORTH RIM
Views of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon that are normally
denied to travelers that stay on the beaten path. All day tours to some of the most beautifuly of the Grand Canyon's unspoiled overlooks are now available. Forget the crowded South Rim!
You tour will take you thorugh the Arizona Strip, into the Beautiful Kaibab Naitonal Forest to Crazy Jug Point, North Timp & Timp
Overlooks, Monumnet Point and Sowats Point.
This trip is exceptional for fall travel as the area will be brilliant with autumn foilage. Lunch
and refeshments are included. These tours are available only from May through October as travel is restricted in the winter months. Tour time 6 hours.
TOROWEAP OVERLOOK
Toroweap overlook, one of the most spectacular views
on the north rim of the Grand Canyon at its nearest is one view few ever see. You tours will take you on the Arizona Strip to the Grand Canyon at one of it's
narrowest points. There will be no rails, no crowds and no obstructions between you and the breathtaking Grand Canyon. Photo opportunities abound.
Tour includes lunch. The vast majority of this tour is on dirt roads. Tour time 6 hours.
RED CANYON
This is the ideal tour for those on the go without a whole lot of time. Also known as Peek-a-boo Canyon, Red Canyon is a
wonderful experience. You will travel north of Kanab into one of the area's beautiful slot canyons.
Wear sturdy outdoor clothing and shoes. Sandals are not recommended. Bring a hat and sunscreen and keep gear to a minimum, please!
An easy 30 minute hike into the canyon will give you many photo opportunities. Tour time 2.5 hours.
MOQUITH MOUNTAIN
Looking for some serious four-wheel driving? This trip is not for the faint
of heart and includes magnificent vistas on all sides. Take a ride north of Kanab for an off-highway adventure into the back country for photo opportunities galore, including an overlook of the Coral Pink Sand
Dunes.
Maximum of four on this tour. Tour time 4 hours, but may be included with Petroglyph Canyon Hike which extends it an additional hour for a total of
5 hours.
PETROGLYPH CANYON
The indians came to this area many centuries ago and left their mark upon the lanscape. Let us take you to one such site near Kanab. This
tour includes a hike down into the canyon to view the petroglyphs, and while it is not a strenuous hike, we would ask that you consider your own physical abilities.
