In Spiritus


	"In Spiritus" (in the spirit) was founded in 1999 by Janice Kocjan of The Dancespace School of Ballet. Mrs. Kocjan is a certified teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and has been teaching in Page, AZ in her privately-owned studio for 25 years.


	The company of eleven members is uniquely multi-generational, ranging in age from 15 through 40. The clean technique of the younger members has been recognized by the Broadway Dance Center in New York, Ballet West, the Dance Departments of Brigham Young University and University of Arizona, as well as the Idyllwild School of Performing Arts in California.

The more mature professionals enhance the company with their years of experience in teaching, performing and choreography.

The repertory consists of original works by the company 's Artistic Director, Mrs. Kocjan, as well as pieces by professional choreographers Jayne Lee (formerly of London Contemporary Dance Theater, and Diane McNeal-Hunt and Mark Vanek (MarDi Duet Company). "In Spiritus" focuses upon Sacred Dance during appropriate times of the year, but the versatile repertory also encompasses Modern, Jazz and Ballet.

The company will perform at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2001 in the Cultural Arts Building (CAB) at the Page High School campus. Don't miss it!
