ZION NATIONAL PARK

There is a $25 park entrance fee for a 7 day pass for all private, non-commercial vehicles. If you are planning on visiting other National Parks (Bryce, Grand Canyon, Lake Mead, Lake Powell, etc.), you may want to purchase an annual pass for $80. Additionally, you will save time rather than having to wait to make the purchase at the fee stations. These may be purchased online here:

If you have a large vehicle, the tunnels will require an escort and you will be charged an additional $15. Please allow plenty of extra time as the park service will have to stop traffic to allow your vehicle to proceed. Large vehicles are defined as: all vehicles and trailers 7'10" (2.4 m) in width and/or 11'4" (3.4 m) in height or larger. Fee is good for 2 trips through the tunnel for the same vehicle within 7-day period

Permits are required for overnight trips in the backcountry (including climbing/bivouacs), through hikes of the Virgin River tributaries, and canyons requiring the use of desending gear or ropes (including the Subway). Permits are available the day before or the day of the trip. Permits are available at the Zion Canyon and Kolob Canyons Visitor Centers. The person picking up the permit must be 18 years of age or older and must be participating in the trip. Please bring vehicle information with you, including descriptions and licence plate numbers of all vehicles involved in the trip.

The permit fees are based on group size:
1-2 people: $10
3-7 people: $15
8-12 people: $20

BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK

There is a $25 park entrance fee for a 7 day pass for all private, non-commercial vehicles. Backcountry fees are: $5 - Per Permit - 1-2 persons - up to 7 nights maximum; $10 - Per Permit - 3-6 persons - up to 7 nights maximum; $15 - Per Permit - 7-15 persons (Group sites ONLY) - up to 7 nights maximum.
